The bus is full at this point!  Follow this link to the google doc to sign up to either join a car or offer to be a driver.   All explanations on how it works are at the top of the document.

I’ll connect the carpoolers as soon as I see cars filling up.

Note that Rick, Jeff and a few volunteers are planning a longer run towards the Golden Gate Bridge after practice is over. It's all on the Google doc.

Run another fun race with RBO on Sunday, February 26: LMJS Couple Relay

The LMJS Couples Relay is a two person relay with each teammate running one 5K lap around Lake Merritt. Teams can be comprised of any combo of genders (on female/male teams the female runner will run the first leg).

There are prizes for winners in each age division plus oldest and youngest team. There will be many goodies and prize drawings for all runners (must be present to win). The first 180 teams registered will receive a great race premium!

The race starts at Lake Merritt, near Adam's point at 9:00AM.

  • Free for Students
  • $10 for volunteers who run with a student
  • $15 for a volunteer team

Follow this link to register. If you don't have a teammate yet, we'll find one for you...

February 11th: Next Practice & more...

What's happening on that day:

  • Practice #6 for the Half Marathon Students - ideally running 6 to 8 miles.

  • Practice #6 for some of the 5K Middle School and High School Students

  • Registration Day for all other 5K runners

  • Practice #1 for all 5K runners

  • Our friend Patrick Der from the Green Cormorant Running Club is fundraising for RBO. It's his birthday and he is running 31 miles (10 laps) around the Lake. Patrick will take a break to speak with our Half Marathon students and will run with them for a couple of laps. Check his Go Fund Me Campaign.
