Tips of the week
◊ Great Tip from Coach Rick as he prepares to run the LA Marathon this weekend
A little trick to help you when the distance ahead is daunting: Have An ‘I Know I Can Do It’ Distance. Say I have 6 miles to go, which sounds like a really long way when I’m exhausted. I’m not sure I will be able to do it. I only need to re-frame the distance: it’s only 2 laps of the lake. I know I can do that. 3 miles to go? That’s only one Lake Merritt. 1 mile to go? That's only one lap around the Camron House! Having a distance you know you can do can help break down the long distance into something you know you can manage. That can make all the difference in the world.
◊ If you missed them last week, we had a nice series of tips for you. Check them out here.....

We still have Oiselle bras in all sizes. Please send a note by Thursday to reserve your size and we'll have it at the table on Saturday. Don't forget to ask the volunteers...
How could you thank Oiselle Back?
Is not it inspiring to see the generosity of the Oiselle Team? Want to write a short or long note to tell them how much you love your new athletic bra or draw something if that's your talent? Please, don't be shy and bring it at the table at practice or send it by email! We'll make sure we forward it to Sally, Sarah, Alisha and Sheena.
We had one planned for next week but it will be even more fun to hear from you after the race.
Let's meet on Tuesday, March 27 from 7:15pm to 9:15pmat Drake's, 2325 Broadway, Oakland
Parents: we'd like to encourage you to join the Blue Team!
