We’re Hiring a Part-Time Program Coordinator!
About RBO
Running for a Better Oakland (RBO) uses running as a tool to build confidence, community, and joy for young people across Oakland. We run together every Saturday morning — and that Saturday practice is the heartbeat of everything we do.
We're looking for a Part-Time Program Coordinator to support our practices and events to ensure they run smoothly for students and families. This is a hands-on, community-facing role for someone who takes pride in executing well, genuinely enjoys being around kids and families, and finds satisfaction in showing up prepared so others can thrive.
The Role
You'll be the operational backbone of RBO's weekly practices and seasonal events. On Saturday mornings, you're the person who makes the space ready, keeps things running smoothly, and is the calm presence students and families see when they arrive.
Outside of Saturdays, you'll support the planning work that makes each season possible — from organizing supplies and equipment to helping prepare for the upcoming season. This hire is happening now, during our off-season, specifically so you can be part of that build-up.
In addition, there are opportunities for this role to support RBO outside of practices, including during in-season races, during community/recruitment events, and more. You are an extension of the RBO organization and will be expected to represent RBO during any run community related events.
